Wasim Akram. Will always be the one bowler I'll put down first on an "all-time" list...and then any others around him.

hands down Waseem akram, no question asked... a true genius with the ball and someone who bradman calls the best left arm pace bowler of all time. Now coming from bradman that is a serious compliment. I doubt if there will ever be a bowler like waseem akram again.

Not really that much of a compliment. It's not as if Wasim has that much competition for the best ever left-arm fast bowler slot. Are there any other runners for the title?

But Wasim is surely one of the best fast bowlers Pakistan have ever had, he has to be in the top three if not somebody's number one. A great bowler and a top servant for not only Pakistan but for English cricket after his huge stint in the county and club circuit.

I think Wasim Akram is bordering on being the best fast bowler ever.

I had the pleasure of watching him play at Lancashire, and it's true to say that he won lost games for Lancashire with his pure genious.
I doubt we will see the like of Waseem again, I think he was a one off.

Agree with you 100% Vrock - he was a once in a lifetime bowler, being left handed was a bonus.
