6 Day Tests!

Pakistan are to ask for permission to stage six day tests, this will eliminate the problems that have occured due to bad light and early morning dew. Ensuring more overs are bowled.

Also Pakistan are to experiment with an orange ball! to increase sight of it against the lights.

I wonder how much "more" or "less" the ball will "do" if it is orange.

I think they want to keep it as close to "red" as possible, I suppose they want something that's pretty close to red in the colour wheel.

What colour would you suggest Uham?

I think a "green" ball when England are bowling.

well it doesnt matter if we have pitches like we had in faisalabad for the test against india, tha test would not have finished in six days and the one in lahore would not finished in 10 days. it would put an extra burdon on the players and the board should try to look after its players

ahsan32, the PCB want 6 day tests rather than 5 days because sufficient overs are not being bowled. Even if all possible hours, minutes, seconds (permitting to light) were bowled for five days in Pakistan you would not get 450 overs. This was not brought in to create more chance of results, it was purely brought in to allow for a sufficient level of overs being bowled.
