This might be the stupidest question of all time cricket wise, but could it be INZI leadership. I dont know why im saying this but I am. This is very funny... Could it be because of the captain Inzamam-ul-Haq???

COMPLACENCY, that my friends is the conclusion that i have come to over the last few years. They get way too complacent too early. We NEED TO LEARN from the aussies, YOU DO NOT LET GO UNTIL THE LAST WICKET FALLS OR THE LAST BALL IS BOWLED, that is the problem.

Uham, I have a feeling that what you say has some truth in it. Inzi NEEDS to be more decisive, or retire. And yes, i am in the right frame of mind. All the compliments of him being a cool customer are usless if he can't be decisive. You know that Afridi plays well lower down, and Younis stared the previous day at the 3 spot, Why the ***** do you change that. Those that saw his post match interview with Rameez Raja, in the first match, really those that know Urdu, as he does not speak English, should have felt that he(Inzi) came across as a dunder head. Dravid is a perfect example of a calm yet decisive captain. Watch and Observe, Inzi.

I think that after Pakistans recent wins against England, Pakistan must wait until they play England, or another major Test playing nation to discover any real weak points in any department.

I see your point Ern, but when the ausssies are on top you don't see them losing even 1 game in a serires, thats what we need to learn to emulate.

Pakistan has always been blessed with quality bowlers and batsmen. The fielding has traditionaly been quite weak (don't blame them for not wanting to dive and slide around on the hard subcontinental outfields though - ouch) but from what i have seen, even that has improved.
Pakistan's ultimate weakness is, and always has been playing away from Pakistan and the subcontinent. Once they get to England or Australia, they have gone to water. If they can turn that around, i think they will be the team to displace Australia as no1.

At the moment I don't see a clear world#1 in cricket.

I was one who expected England might get defeated in Pakistan, anfter beating Australia - those celabration was a bit premature I think and did not help England focus.

But England beat Australia , Pakistan beat England - The India Pakistan series, England drawing with India.

The England v Pakistan is now a clear contender for who will be #1 when next one plays Australia.

As far back as I can remember, pakistan have not lost a test series since when they toured Australia.they draw west indies away, draw India away, draw sri lanka at home, beat england at home, beat india at home, and recently beaten sri lanka away. So now the biggest challenge will be against england away and after the conclusion of that series we will be able to see pakistans weak points and if we are sucessful against england we will be one to challenge australia and get to world no1.

When was the last time England beat Pakistan in England? We drew 1-1 in 2001. We lost 2-0 in 1996. We were mauled by Wasim and Waqar in 1992 (can't remember the score) and we lost 1-0 in 1987, with Pakistan scoring 709 in one innings. Pakistan don't 'go to water' in England. Their quick bowlers have thrived on English wickets. I think they will do so again and it will be a really tough series for the home side.

Now that surprises me. But i stick to my opinion that they struggle away from home. The 1996 victory in England is ancient history now. They must win in the W.I, India, Australia, England or at least 3 of the 4. And win all their series at home. Then they will be on their way to being #1.
