Rana's injury scare? Not heard of that one before. Could you explain please?

On Shoaib though, I'm surprised people here actually thought that twist in the ankle might not have been that serious, Shoaib's body is quite unique, bordering on the slightly abnormal side, this, coupled with the way he bowls, it all makes him a highly injury prone cricketer, and as I rule, whenever he gets injured, no matter what the nature of his injury is, I just expect the worse, no use giving your self false hopes. Anyway, I think he's probably going to be out for the whole of the test series, but you never know. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

On his absense generally, of course its a blow if he's out of the whole tour, or even part of it, but not one we cannot cope with, or at least thats what I would like to think. I think if we have plenty of depth in our bowling reserves and that an attack of Rana, Asif, Razzaq and Kaneria is capable of taking 20 England wickets in England, if they play to their full potential. Anyway, we'll see what happens.

According to Cricinfo he injured his groin while playing for Sussex. http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/ci/c...ry/249544.html
Anyhow, it's not serious.

More Shoaib news...

Saleem Altaf says there is an outside chance he may play the ODI's following the test series.

"The indications are that he will be ready for the one-dayers but that depends on how his rehabilitation goes and the selectors and team management," he added.

Waqar feels Pakistan still has a "good balanced and potent attack without Shoaib"...

If I were the selectors I would keep my mind open for him not being fit, he seems to get so many niggles that during his build up training he could easily pick up another injury.

If he does figure in the one day series he will boost the attack majorly, but I wouldn't rest all of my hopes on him being fit.
