| Wouldn't read too much into that euro-asia victory for Pakistan. They had a much stronger team there than all of the other competing teams. There were 7 players with international experience if my memory serves me correct? If one thing, these players got some very good playing practice and exposure.
Raza had the best batting average (122.) and Amjad took the most wickets (12) And even Misbah Ul-haq, Taufeeq Umar and Bazid Khan averaged above 50.
If the rotation policy Inzamam wants falls into place, there IS a good enough pool of players Pakistan can make use of and select a very strong group of 20. But, like someone has said earlier, just a bit more consistency required.
Just a little worried about the bowling though... Anyone who can give me some ideas on other bowlers apart from Gul, Arafat and Amjad? And what happened to that young spinner, Tariq? I know there were some questions about his action, but that was like 2 years ago. There must have been some work done on him since??.... |
