Considering that there is no other specialist and experienced spinner, I think he should be an One Day International player as well.

Danish Kaneria surely has better bowling attributes than Arshad Khan. The Pakistanis can't always expect things from Shoaib Malik and Shahid Afridi.

This is only speaking from the one-day series earlier on this year but I thought Khan bowled extremely accurately and troubled England's batsmen.

Kaneria, generally, doesn't bowl too well in ODI's. He doesn't have the best track-record and the other aspects of his game, fielding and batting, are weak in a form of the game where they are much more important.

I think Kanerai will be a better choice than Khan. Kaneria need to improve to continue in a team where Saqlain and Mushy couldnt survive.

I wouldn't play him for two reasons - one he's not that great in ODIs to begin with, second his fielding is atrocious and you wouldn't be able to hide him anywhere. If Hafeez, Malik and Afridi play then the spin department is more than sufficient to handle 20 overs.

i totally agree with you Haroon. You can't hide him anywhere.

A legspinners job is to get wickets and not to lessen the run rate. Kaneria has been hammered in all the ODIs that he has played. Plus Kaneria cant bat and in ODIs you want even your last man to hit.
