Banana Rana Naved or Umar Gul

You can compare the stats and averages, but Rana Naved is a poor fielder, had a bad game last time round. Umar Gul was bowling a disciplined line last time I saw him play, He will be much more suited for the conditions I think, So why not drop Naved and put in Gul?

Gul reminds me of a head waiter. I would like to see how he does. Of all the Pakistan bowlers I love watching Asif.

Not a bad idea at all. Rana hasnt been taking wickets with the same frequency as he used to, and yes, i cant resist to agree with u, Gul is a much much better fielder, perhaps one of the best in our side. Lets hope Afridi puts a lil sunshine in our batting today.

I would stick with rana. he has come back out of match practise but is a better bowler then Gul. His stats for Sussex this year speaks for themselves. I hope he doesnt do a Sami however

Well, Rana has not been "himself" since his return after that injury....

I suppose, looking at the way he bowled yesterday, maybe Gul would have been a better option. Of course with hindsight one always has 20/20 vision.

I'm sure Inzi feels the same.

other options

Forget all of these three bowlers. I think we need to think of 2 other bowlers. And there name are Rao Ifthikhar Anjum a must on the team and Samiullah Niazi/Yasir Arafat all fast bowlers. But what about the spinners, Arshad Khan Dani boy. What sorry how can we get a spinner like Saqlain in the odi game. An equnomical bowler. Who can have a bat. This is tough we have 2 final pace man Shoiab and Asif but whos that 3rd bowler maybe we get a new spinner or Arafat or Niazi

i don think saimullah niazi will play anytime soon, even though he was looking better then sami. arafat has a chance though, coming in for rana, or they can play rao instead of rana.however, i would keep some faith in rana and keep him for the time being. sort out the fielding and the opening batsman

See what I want Pakistan to do is give young boys chances to play cricket. We need to find young batsmen for after the world cup. Pakistan will need 2,3 batsman 1,2 bowlers at the end of the world cup. I got Faisal Iqbal, Misbah Ul-Haq, Raf Mohamand yongsters.
