The Wacky Pakistani Thread

Our team has the distinction of having some of the funniest and loved people in cricket, thus a lot of wacky stuff keeps appearing on them, after the recent dismay lit up by our last ODI win today i thought we could use a little humor so i started this thread off with the following article. Please add whatever you think is funny about the Pak team, in good humor offcourse.

Pakistans biggest english newspaper has now reported that both Shoaib and Asif were seen smoking cannabis/mariguana or what we call charas a dried up form in pak, on their recent tour of england after the 5th ODI

I never considered Shoaib a role model and I'd seriously question the judgments of those who ever did. Regardless of that though, I'm surprised a newspaper like Dawn chose to publish such a story, it sights, as an evidence to its claims, quotes from an eye witness account by an anonymous fan who traveled from the US to watch the series, some how the report doesn't seem any way near credible enough to me. Especially those accusations on players like Mohammad Yousuf taking "gutka". I'd probably struggle to believe such a thing about a player like Yousuf even if I saw it with my own eyes, let alone something like this coming in a newspaper; very disappointed with Dawn. I didn’t think they were a newspaper of this standard.

There grown men they should be allowed to smoke a bit of pot if they want to, as long as the cops don't catch them with it on them out in public. I’m not sure why sports people get banned for taking drugs that hurts there playing careers. Unless it’s to hide performance enhancing drugs, its not like they were running into bowl with a doob hanging out of there mouths.

But the whole Steroids problem has hurt there reputations and the reputation of Pakistan

The moral conduct of the players is not my concern Mr. Hutt, what I have an objection to is the standard and the quality of journalism. The report seems very unreliable and unauthentic to me, and you would expect, a newspaper like Dawn, to have done better, then give coverage to such things.

So wait I dont understand SHoiab and Asif smoked pot??? And if they did shame on them they should be banned from Pakistan cricket maybe not Asif though but SHoiab . I was very depressed and sad hearing this news almost just like why.. I will tell the truth I useto idiol Shoiab so much as the greatest bowler when I was a kid. When all my friends came over and Shoiab was getting hammered I supported him just because of his Pace thats all. But finnaly I have come to a conclusion Shoiab is not my idiol any more. I have just given up on him. Ever since all the injurys and my post on Should Shoiab Retire? Since I was done with Shoiab I had thought I had found a new great idiol Mohammad Asif my favorite current bowler but I dont know for how long. I loved Asif I thought he would be a staright up goo young kid with speed and swing. I was right what I liked about Asif was that his econmy was great he was swinging the bowl and taking wickets. Two of my favorite cricket idiols at times now DRUG USERS....

I think its a good thing to smoke charrs or bhang in the middle of firangies (the english), this act gives exposure to our home grown products and might result in huge foreign exchange. See, the thing is, everyone is selling something, the western media giants sold their Cable, Dish product to our Asian countries with such a great influence that our youth is now addicted to it and our eastern culture hardly exists anymore-not to mention billions and billions of dollars made by these media giants- so lets settle the score and find ways to export charrs, Hafeem, bhang, gaanja, tunaal etc and settle the score.
So next time, when a western team loses a game, the whole crowd will sing
" Dum maaro dum, mitt jaye gham. lol jk

p.s it was written only with the intention of trying a humor. No offense intended to anyone.

Just to clarify the matter, Asif's agent, Azhar Majeed, reported as being Azhar Mota in Dawn's initial coverage, called the paper from London to deny the charges made against his player, full report featured in next day's Dawn, here.
