Youhana

In the last 12 months (since converting - is this a coincidence or has this given the clearly gifted player the discipline to craft long innings) this guy has passed 170 on six occasions (with scores of 223, 173, 126, 202, 192, 128, 192 and today's innings 189 at time of writing).

Along with Ponting, we have a player here who just appears to score runs almost every time he goes to the wicket. Youhana is also a lovely player to watch, he has the artistry that stands out above the usual one-day bludgeoning. Runs and style (he always had the latter but used to have more cameos than real big knocks) - you can't beat that.

I will be very excited to see how he gets on in South Africa. This will see whether he has really moved up the top levels of test players.

well right now as it stands... viv richards yearly record is about 200 runs away from being broken by Mo Yo and that aint a coincedence. Still 2 test innings left for him in this year.

Its actually even less than 200 Hutt - Viv got 1,710 and Yousaf is now on 1,562, just 148 short of Viv.

In any case, MoYo's total as it stands is the second highest in one calendar year, ever.

He's cashing in on some very good form, and that's the way it should be - no one would argue that Yousaf is in the same class as the likes of Ponting or Lara, but he does now have a solid case to be considered in the tier right below them - a career average of 55+ is pretty good by today's inflated standards.

absolute best form of his life right now. was stylish before his conversion, but now is even better. did excellent against england aswell in england, this shows he can play outside of pakistan. i think he is the best out of ALL pakistani batsman to play outside pakistan aswell...the commentators did show some facts to prove that. IMO there is no coincidence of him getting into better form after his conversion, however its best we dont get into all that. just watch him bat and its always good entertainment. this last year he has almost imitated bradman style batting.

I don't believe its a coincidence. He's said spoken him self about it. So there's no reason to think of it as a coincidence.

And yeah, his name is Yousuf. Not Youhanna.
