The testing was one of Woolmer's bright ideas just before the ICCCT, so no credit to the PCB.

The PCB have a proven track record of never coming up with any original idea

This just in

http://content-pak.cricinfo.com/paki...ry/271416.html

Percy Sonn criticizing the PCB

Thats all he can do???

what if they test every player in the world cup. Nandolorene has a long history of staying in a players system for a year or more. They might still not play the world cup!!

The level was lower than Greg Rudenskis i think... 3.6 or something

im still confused as to why the decision was over turned.. im no lawyer but reading everything coming out on this the "exceptional circumstances" need to be clearified. Otherwise this will just be another taint on the Pakistan team. All the other players in the team are not charged of anything.. yet whenever we win from now on it will be the same cry, the cheats win it again!!!

Not sure the ICC will/can do anything (do they ever) but I wish they did (then again, don't I always, and yet don't they never)...over all reaction: something in between stunned, shocked and very annoyed. How I'll tolerate Shoaib in the team now I have no idea. Not sure if I should laugh or cry.

They have not been picked for the Thursday ODI agaist WI

http://www.abc.net.au/sport/content/200612/s1805781.htm
WADA is taking up their case with the ICC

Finds PCBs overturning of their bans unreasonable!

I will not tolerate them at all...

love it, not because the cheats got away with one there but because this lineup suddenly became one of the strongest.

1. M. Hafeez
2. I. Farahat
3. Y. Khan
4. M. Yousuf
5. Inzamam *
6. Shoaib Malik
7. Kamran Akmal +
8. Shoaib Akhtat
9. M. Asif
10.Umar Gul
11.Danish Kaneria

They may not be back for the WI series but will for RSA and its gonna be alot tougher than the SA's thought it might be.

As for this overturn, honestly knowing Pakistan I knew it was coming. and I don't like it. even now the least PCB should do is impose a heavy fine. and ban for afew matches.

The lawyers probably brought up Greg rudenski'scase. Also, from what I have read, Asif and Akhtar took nutrient supplements having no knowledge that it probably contains Nandrelone. After being told this by their physio's/doctors, they stopped taking it.Im not excusing them, but just possible arguments their lawyers could have drawn up.
However, I see all the excuses coming up.
Pakistan beat England 3-0 in England. English fans saying pakistan only won by cheating.
Pakistan winning the world cup. Oh, Asif and Akhtar should not be playing,oh and dont forget that Shabbir Ahmed chuks the ball.

Shabbirs case is different.. he seems to get it right on the biomechanical review but start varying once he is making extra effort in the matches.. he needs to stick with the right action!!! thats all.

Brian Lara, Chris Gayle and the West Indians in general seem to be excellent guests - polite, reasonable and very decent. Reminds me of Hansie Cronje's South African tourists to these parts during the 1996 World Cup, who won many friends and admirers with their approach and behaviour off the field. Pity that most other Western touring teams, in particular some of the Aussie and the English players, fans and media, moan and whinge so much whenever they visit the sub-continent - just shows their class (or lack of it!).
