Weaker teams, in desperation, might see the odd moment for a desperate, all or nothing lunge for glory... especially once they are trailing in a series... but that's why you need to make sure you NEVER go behind: so you're not put in the sort of a desperate situation that makes a glory-bid a higher percentage option than playing tough cricket. I'm sick and tired of teams worrying about results: they should just bat as long and hard as possible and then see what happens when they bowl. If the game peters out then sobeit: go away and think about whether the bowlers could have done better... if the answers yes, make a plan to do ensure they do perform better next time and move on... and if not... credit the opposition batsmen, curse the groundsman and... move on. Thats why the Aussies and England under Vaughan have been so succesful, their target is to always try to win the game, never to play for a draw. In fact Englands batting always looks weaker when the batsman just try to bat for time. Thats why IMO we cant play Colly and Bell in the same team, they drag the scoring rate down and give the initiative back to the bowling side. (note: I'm not saying that we should bat foolishly and throw our wickets away, but should always lool to be positive)

| If I am correct, which i hope i am, there is a man named Rashid Khan who has been getting rave reviews from his work. I would like to see him be an assistant to woolmer and if Bob leaves take over. I am by no means a fan of Woolmer, but would be happy to see him stay and groom Rashid for another two years. In my view the Pakistan team needs, Head Coach Assistant Coach Analyst/whatever the computer geeks are called - no negativity inteneded Strength and conditioning Coach Asst. Strength and Conditioning coach Physio and whatever managers they have, i.e. media, operations. |

| I think Woolmer has been a positive influence on Team Pakistan and although his era has seen a lot of controversy he has still stuck by the team he coaches through thick and thin. I would imagine a local person like Rashid mentioned by Captain would be even better since there would be no speech barrier!! We need to give the locals a chance too they have a better understanding of conditions and players and if good can make things happen. I would really like to make Imran the Head Coach but i doubt if Mr Khan will make himself available.

| He Should Be Fired Asap I think Woolmer should be FIRED!!! after those comments. Thats not how the coach should talk, when the biggest cricket tournment is coming up. Woolmer man your a joke how could you say that in public he should be fired due to his rude actions. As for whose going to be the new coach Mr.Asif Iqbal or Javed or WHO KNOWS MAYBE HE WILL STAY

| well, not because of his statement but he should released on the basis of his performance. The major issue of Pakistan remains firm and presistent, that is, finding a reliable, consistent and a strong opening pair. Woolmer did not do a whole lot to resolve the issue and I am sure he got paid really big bucks to make this happen. World cup is around the corner and our opening still looks like crap.
