Pakistan's Chairman and selectors resign

I'm a bit surprised no-one has picked this one up yet. Report here from the BBC.

To me, this seems like rather an extreme reaction. Does anyone agree?

It might increase their life expectancy if resignation goes hand in hand with seeking political asylum a very, VERY long way from the sub-continent

ps. first candidates for asylum IN Iraq?

Latest developments on the selection policy here. The selectors will choose the playing XI in home series. In away series, the playing XI will be chosen by a committee comprising the Coach, Manager, Captain and Vice-captain. I prefer the Australian model for away series - one of the selectors to travel with the squad to have final say of team selections.
