The end of the line for Akhtar

Well for all Shoaib's achievements, great talent and spectator appeal, it looks like his off field antics will be what he is remembered for most....

Cricinfo - A tale of intrigue, injuries and incidents

But with his ability to come back, I am wondering whether even this latest set back in his career, is just that, another set back..

Do you feel this is the final straw, or that he will be back as a Pakistani player again?

There is a think. Asif is not good enough. Shoaib may done it for some reason. But there is a problem everything concerning Shoaib Akhter always goes bad fopr Shoaib Akhter not for the other involved in the incident. Shoaib Akhter apologies for this incident. And he said that there are some situations where you lose your control like Zidane in the FIFA World Cup Final with attack with head. I think PCB should find the reason why Shoaib had done this. If PCB wants to sent Shoaib back then Asif should also gone back home because he was also involved in this incident and there should be some mistake that Asif done. Sending back only one man is not good and not a justice.

Why Asif

arsalan660 why should the great Mohammad Asif go??? He is not the one that hit the star bowler with a bat. I am telling you guys as much as I like Shoiab Akhtar he has a HUGE and I mean HUGE issue. I think this BETTER be his last chance well ONE more against South Africa if he bowls GREAT and says sorry to Asif then he should be retain on the side if not then well he should go with Inzi Yousuf Farhat and Razzaq and join the ICL. But I cant believe you said that if shoiab goes so should Asif. MOHAMMAD ASIF is the only GREAT bowler Pakistan has left. If he leaves and joins the ICL we are in trouble....

Mohammad Asif
Umar Gul
Rao Iftikhar Anjum
Mohammad Sami
and maybe Yasir Arafat only bowlers left that can bowl maybe not even Sami and Arafat
