"Can I post disparaging comments about opposition fans or their team within the sanctuary of my own country forum?"

The sanctuary rule is mainly to stop idiots posting on opposition forums with the sole intention of winding up opposition fans. However, some members think that they can post anti-opposition sentiments on their own forum that will obviously provoke a negative or hostile reaction and expect the sanctuary rule to protect them from inflamed opposition fans posting tit for tat on their thread in retaliation.

If you knowingly post anti-opposition comments on your country forum which leads to an ugly tit for tat exchange with opposition supporters the moderators will take whatever action is necessary to maintain the quality of a thread and the friendly tone of the board. If that means banning members from further participation on the board so be it. You have been warned.

Maintaining a pleasant and friendly atmosphere on our board is as much your responsibility not to incite or provoke hostile reactions as the forum rules are to remind members of their obligations to behave in a courteous manner to foster our forum community. We don't enjoy cautioning people and taking away their posting priviledges but the sensible majority of members expect us to do that in order to allow sensible discussion to take place in a friendly environment.
