I'm sorry (and to be rude and blunt) this is just rubbish.
Jones' keeping is NOT that far behind Read's. Bearing in mind the amount of Test Matches Read has played and the number of Test Matches Jones has played, is it surprising his keeping is still a bit 'nervy'?
There is no doubt (and has never been any doubt) in my mind that Jones will cement that keeper slot as his own, will continue to improve with the gloves over time (as Read did) and become as good as if not better than Read as a Keeper. I've seen very little that Jones has got wrong, the odd ball that he's missed and the odd fumbled catch, natural in a youngish, lacking experience at this level Keeper.
I'll even go as far as to say that Jones's batting is just so good, I will forgive him the odd missed catch, or byes he conceded because his contribution with the bat will (and has done) set up England victorys like todays win.
Read is history in my mind, he had his chance and blew it - Jones is the new Keeper - accept it.
