| Ab Just noticed that DeVillers bolwed two overs before Tea, due to injuries to Kallie, Nel and Langerveldt, can anyone tell me what he bolwed. I thought he was a keeper, so I assume he hasn't bowled much uptill this point... Last edited by flanflinger : 11-03-2005 at 01:39 PM. |

| There's nothing to stop keepers from being decent bowlers too. Don't forget how good a bowler Taibu can be. He topped the averages in the Zimbabwe first class competition last year, so anything's possible (might just tell you how good the Zimbabwe domestic league is though!!!) |

| Moon balls into the stratosphere so he can get down the other end and get the gloves on before the ball pitches? I'm ever more impressed by DeVilliers: batting, out-fielding, 'keeping and now bowling.. he'll be umpiring next. I'd be interested, though, to see if anyone can come up with a complete team of such versatile chaps: must all have taken the gloves in International cricket to qualify... I'm sure there's more than just DeVilliers and TAibu who've done this! |

| Taibu Dravid (1 wicket at test level, and has kept in ODIs) De Villiers Trescothick (I'm sure I remember him taking the gloves once in a test match) Well, there's a start... |

| Javed Miandad has kept in a test match, in fact he has a stumping to his name. I also remember him taking the gloves in the 87 world cup semi final after Yousuf had got floored. He actually ran out Dean Jones by many a foot (took all the stumps out the ground), but for some reason it wasn't given out. He was also a pretty useful spinner in his youth before the back injury prevented him from bowling. |

| De Villiers has only been a wk for the last 2.5 years ,he still bolws at about 120-125 ( about the same pace as pollock ) and his swinging it a bit !! LOL |
