| Will Rodney Marsh take over from Ray Jennings as the national coach? It seems Rodney Marsh, the former Australian wicketkeeper will take over as South African Coach. Full Report Here. |

| Jennings looks like he is doing a heck of a job to me. Is it true that there is a rift between Jennings and some of the team players? Who? Smith and Jennings looks like they work well together and Smith knows how to marshall his troops... Good combinations to me. |

| [quote=Teatime FatCat ]what's Jennings actually done wrong, [quote=Teatime FatCat ] Losing at home to arch-rivals England may have something to do with it. S.A has plummeted down the official rankings too. Pehaps it is not so much that Jennings is a bad coach - it may well be that Marsh is better. Can't blame a country for getting the best coach they can , ie Englands soccer coach

| Oh - I must have misjudged his effect. Yes you lost to us, but you got better the longer the series went on. You then did us firmly in the one-dayers, dicked Zim out of sight with a couple of regulars missing, and them with a couple of regulars back, and have won against the West Indies, and will probably dick them in the One Dayers. Am I mistaken in thinking that SA were already sliding down the rankings before he took charge, and all of these wins must be affecting their ratings in an upwards fashion?

| I reckon Jennings biggest hope is Andre Nel. He keeps on performing whenever he plays and as long as he keeps his back okay, he poses the biggest threat to Australia. Should Jennings stay in the job??? After a 3-0 victory over West Indies, I have to say yes. |

| Andre Nel has injured his back. Apparently it's a recurring injury... Back injuries are the death of fast bowlers. Anyways, the media speculates that South Africa will have to watch the number of overs he bowls in a spell, and find someway to strengthen his back. Mike Haysman (S.A commenator) says depending on the injury, Nel is looking at about 3 more years in the game. Who knows? Does anyone have any more info on this? |

| Cricinfo reports that the new coach will be Mickey Arthur, never a front runner, currently head coach of Eastern Cape. Cricinfo report here.

| That's confirmed never heard of him. Hopefully the people who appointed him have seen something. Maybe he is a moderniser/ shake things up? At 37 they hope he will be around a few years.

| Don't mind who it is. I'm just glad Fletcher is still with England. What he's done is amazing, and he's probably the best coach in the world.
