You can never be sure of the odds of it happening again. It might not happen for another millions of years, but at the same time it can happen tomorrow. No one know for sure. No one can guarantee it wont happen for another thousand of years.

Safest would be to build the stadium at another location. But I think the circketing world will be loosing one of the most interesting stadiums in this world.

Muralitharan ties the knot

Extracts from cricinfo report:
Quote:
Muttiah Muralitharan, Sri Lanka's spin wizard and previously one of the island's most eligible bachelors, has married his Chennai-based bride, Madhi Ramamurthy, during a colourful traditional South Indian wedding ceremony on Monday morning.

Muralitharan, his entire family and close friends decamped to Chennai early last week to organise four days of celebrations that started with an informal party on Saturday night thrown by his brother Shashi and will end with a grand reception on Tuesday night for a 1000 relatives and friends.

But the formal and traditional marriage to 24-year-old Madhi, a business administration postgraduate and the director of a leading private heart hospital founded by her late father, was the centrepiece attraction, a glittering five-hour celebration of the couple's wedlock that started at 8am and was still going strong when guests were invited for lunch.

The 2000 invitees – plus a couple of Sri Lanka politicians who invited themselves, and a swarming mass of photographers and television cameramen, a few of whom had to be restrained as they searched desperately for the best angles – crowded into the Rani Meyyammai Hall in central Chennai to watch Murali and Madhi, sat cross-legged under a lavishly decorated wedding pavilion, tie the matrimonial knot.

This thread has been posted in the Sri Lanka forum. How can one express negative views of Murali without violating the sanctury rule i ask? Strikes me as a "reported post" trap if you ask me.

Congrats to the couple, they make a fine pair All the best to them. For every one knowledge, this is an arranged marriage, or at least a/c to my local paper

This thread is not for expressing negative opinions about Murali, as far as I have been able to gather, and hence was opened in the Sri Lanka forum. Paoli can of course clarify for us, and it is his call.

It is probably sensible to leave it in the Sri Lanka forum to avoid any slanging matches on second thoughts. Murali is a true gentleman and a lovely bloke and it is unfortunate his action creates so much contreversy.

He's a gentleman alright. A very nice man at heart. How many people would after all travel all the way from Sri Lanka to England just to attend the wedding of a certain freddie flintoff, and he's been doing a whole lot of work for Tsunami relief too.

Dead Right Maranello. This is for any discussion on Murali, eg what you like most about him, any ongoing news and so on, that is why I expect this thread to be up there for quite a while...Seamer, it is not a reported post trap, I'm not trying to do that. People are saying England have no chance in the Ashes on the England Forum in the Key Ashes Players Thread...Is that offending anybody??????????? I severely doubt it.

So you can have discussion about Murali in here, thats fine...You can express your views on him...For example, Seamer, you and I amongst others have said Brett Lee is destined to be a white ball specialist on the Australian forum. It isn't offending anybody to my knowledge...As long as you don't try to get a reaction out of certain members, myself, admin and the Moderators will decide on that, this thread would stay like this. I'd hate to see it split into about three different threads.

So keep posting everyone, just don't wind anyone up.

Cheers
