We need Kallis more than ever.

I think the whole question of Kallis being negative and really what he is worth has been emphatically answered. I was always clear on the subject SA are short on batsmen who can handle quality bowling. Kallis has short comings but what he brings to the side is hugely important. He can stay there and score runs.
So I say to South Africans not to listen to the detractors. The argument is resolved until we have quality batsmen Kallis remains our biggest batting asset and hopefully he will recover soon and when he comes back people will keep things in proportion and not become obessed with he's negative.

I totaly agree, you do need Kallis to come to the party, on this day he is one of the world's best and hopefully he will. He is the best batsmen SA have had of the last few years and he will leave a big hole when he hangs up his boots. Do you reckon that he should stop bowling and consentrate on his batting? I think to get the best out of him he should. You have got bowlers capleable of getting wickets, you just need the batsmen to score runs.

Kallis should stop bowling for two reasons.
1. He is SA best batsmen.
2. His bowling is coming to a natural end.
He has really held the batting together in the last two years. He has been critcised for his slowness but that is for people who don't see the woods for the trees in a struggling side. He has played a number of vital innings that any English batsmen would of been praised to the skys over.
In a side thats trying to find its feet someone like Kallis is essential. Hopefully when he retires the side would of found its feet.
