Loots Bosman and Thandi Tshabalala has now also been summoned to this camp. I think it's safe to say it's not so much a "fast bowlers camp" anymore, but just a bowler's camp...

I really like Tshabalala and I hope he is given a chance. Thought he did really well in the Pro 20 games I have seen him play.

Angry Boje

Why should Boje play. He does not add anything to the team. I think that Graeme Smith is a better spin bowler than Boje. Its no use playing a useless spinner just for the sake of having a spinner. Then SA might as well play to their strength, ie Fast Bowling, and play the extra seamer. Then again. Tshabalala has talent, he should play but the selectors will use their old excuses and say that he is still too inexperienced annd that Boje can bat. If Boje could not bat, I dont think he would even have played as much as 5 tests. The selectors should pick Batsmen to score runs and bowlers to take wickets, not players who can bowl and bat a bit. Boje has had enough chances, its time to face facts, HE JUST AINT GOOD ENOUGH. It makes me sick to see him getting picked all the time.

Received confirmation from a friend of Thandi's...He says they were summoned to the camp to improve their batting, and the bowlers needed extra batsmen to bowl to anyway I think.

Gibbs_fan - I agree about Boje. England have the same thing with Giles and Panesar.

To me, this camp is a great idea. SA have lacked a little in terms of good, consistent, threatening, really fast bowlers since Donald quit. Ntini and Steyn can get up there, but SA to produce more competition and fast bowling talent IMO, and guidance like this can only help that.
