Eagles vs Zimbabwe Twenty/20 game

After the South Africans opted not to play the Sri Lankan ODI's earlier, they are woefully short of ODI match practice going into the Champions Trophy. Zimbabwe was roped in for 3 ODI's, first of which will be on Friday, 15 September.

I for one, am hoping for a Zim revelation. But, like many fellow Safricans, I'm not sure how much benefit the South Africans will take from these matches.

Tonight though, the Zimbo's will take on last year's Twenty/20 domestic champions, the Eagles.

Match start 17h45 SAST.

Lets hope for a Zim win...at least they will go into the ODI's on some sort of a high. The Eagles are a very good 20/20 outift.

As we all feared (fellow Safricans, at least) the Eagles won the game without even breaking a sweat. At one stage the Zimbabweans looked set for a score of at least 160 in their first ever Pro/20 game, but losing 8 wickets for 20 runs...

Anyhow, will be difficult for Zim to even think of giving some competition to the Proteas....but it's ODI's, and anything can happen...Like pigs flying, for instance.
