Question When Murali Leaves??

I have a question for anyone. What will happen to Sri Lankan team when Murle Tharan retires? And Sanath Jasuria. all these good cricketrs are preatty old in Sri Lanka. So the main thing is MURLE what will happen when he is gone. Will the Sri Lankan squad be finished? Or will they develop good young spiners? Also how long can Murle play he can hardly run?

I'm sure Murali can play for a few more years yet. Even if he retires from ODI's so he can play tests longer.

As for running, why does he need to? Put him somewhere in the field where he doesn't need to run. (maybe slips or gully?) Sure he needs to run when he's batting but I'm sure they can put up with it with the amount of wickets he takes.

It was in a report that Murali is thinking about retiring after the World Cup in 2007, Jayasuria also will most likely retire as well not too long after then also. Sri Lanka have a few star players and some okay players within the side, they would certainly be losing two stars.

Sri Lanka have a helluva lot of good players-however i think they should have a good big hitter hu can get 20 runs of an over like Australia's Hussey, Clarke, and Symonds- Vaas can hit a few sixes but he isnt ideal-

Sanath Jayasuria? He fits the criteria and has done for quite some time now.

Kumar Is Main Player

If you are talking about big hitting maybe they have Upal Thraga who is a big hitter of the bowl maybe not the Afridi or Symonds but can hit and is most likely the replacement of Santh Jaysuria. Also as long as they got Marvin and the mainest player Kumar Sangakara They will be fine. But thats not the question batting is fine but what about bowling. WHO WILL REPLACE MULRE?? I think Upal Chanda and then Maliga will take Mulres spot on the team. THERE WILL NEVER BE ANTHOR SPINNER ON SRI LANAKA LIKE MURLE!!!

Well you could clone Murali or create a robot that 100% matches his action.

The loss of Murali will be a huge blow to the spin attack that doesn't look to have a replacement that can attack in the same way as Murali does.
