Sri Lanka's Coach Hunt

Not as high-profiled at the Indian and Pakistani coach hunts it seems. (well, less news coverage anyway)

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, 3 Australians are line up for the job: Trevor Bayliss (NSW coach), Jamie Siddons (Australian Assitant Coach) and Terry Oliver (Queensland).

At least Bayliss has confirmed that he will be interviewed on the 14th of this month.

Okay, NOW it's one down 3 to go... (I said that last week too when I, like the BCCI thought Ford was taking the India job )

Trevor Bayliss was appointed as the new Sri Lanka coach. He got a 2-year contract, starting the 1st of August.

I must admit I dont know much about him...Well, time will tell.

He coached NSW to win the Pura cup in his first stint as coach a couple of years ago. Bayliss is one of the new generation of Aussie coaches coming through, and these guys are light years ahead of the old guard coaches such as Chappell.
If Bayliss clicks with the SL players, they will evolve into a far superior team for sure.
