Wink Query

Now, I've been on this forum for a while now. And ever since I first stumbled here, I have been wondering why the heck is it called World-A-Team. Is this a fantasy league or something? Or are people making these A-teams just for fun? What is the point and why is it so important the forum is named after this?

Again, I'm not being sarcastic. It's just the fact that I have no clue what this is about and perhaps I am too lazy to search and see why.

Exclamation Hmmm

Well I guess the forum is doing real well while the A-team thing has pretty much died off.

And about BBC, I can't speak for the English forums at BBC but the Asian forum was pretty fun. A lot of good arguments (although sometimes repetitive) and some interesting fiery people. The reason I stopped going to BBC was that there were a lot of racist remarks going on between Indians and Pakistanis, and absolutely no moderators.

When I decided to check it out 6 months later, there was absolutely no one there. Again, probably because of no moderators and a lot of racist and prejudice remarks.

This is a excellent forum but I think it's qutie difficult to survive here without being an English supporter. But I tell you what, I'll keep on fighting! And one day, I'll convert you all into Pakistani cricket fans!

Well, there are a number of Pakistan fans here already. Probably 3rd behind English and Aussie fans at the moment. Personally, I will always keep an eye on Pakistani cricket due to Essex's history of having successful Pakistan players (Salim Malik, Danish Kaneria) and the fact that Pakistani cricket is generally exciting - and quite often the unexpected happens - though not always in Pakistan's favour!!

We do have quite a few Pakistani fans here, and we when we're playing we more often then not generate a lot of good discussion relavant to Pakistan cricket. This is off season and that's why some people are away, or not posting as frequently as they would do when Pakistan is playing.
