Now you're just changing the topic and hoping no one will notice. I say that in the annals of cricketing history, Wavell Hinds probably will go largely unremembered. I'm not going to deny that. But that isn't the point. The point is that Hinds deserved a better go in the side than he got, while players like Ganga and Smith with inferior records played when they probably shouldn't have. You can't deny this, so you're resorting to this sort of trick and hoping that no one will call your bluff.

Anyone's free to talk about this whenever they want. All you have to do is start your own thread, and I'd be more than happy to discuss past players and history.

Well said Aurelius.

Wavell has gone and though he wasn't anything remotely special he deserved, by virtue of fairness, to have been treated better.

He's now find alternate sources of income to help himself and his family.

Good luck to him and thanks for the effort.

I won't, regardless of how bad/good he was, send him off with a flippant remark.

Another WI player has just declined to play for them due to prior contractual agreements.

I'm just about to post a thread on it.
