Oh no you're not going to run from this one...stay and fight - give me some counter argument like you're his lawyer, perhaps.

Are you going to let me bury him without a fight??????????????????????

I did admit that I was not aware his figures were so good...

I'm more than happy to fight his corner jrwb but I'm already massively jealous as you live in such a beautiful part of the world while I'm stuck here!!

Just so I can get tuned I need to know your nationality and age, if your English or West Indian its fine (unless of course you support Surrey!!) but if you're an Aussie as Benny, Quaggy, Acks, Seams and Aurelius will tell you then the gloves are off I'm afraid!! If you're an Aussie who supports Surrey then I'll have to call the police

And of course if you're a late 30s early 40s like me then we'll just have to clash zimmer frames!!

Let me know my son

PS for the recored the mighty Ninj who is recognised as our main expert on all things Caribbean has leaned my way so I await your response sir!!

I am West Indian, born in Trinidad, but recently came with my family to live in Dominica. In my profile I put that I support Australia, but I am really a supporter of good cricket, which Australia happens to play. I am also keen on English test cricket, can't stand the West Indian side, and really got bored in the seventies and early eighties when the West Indies were beating everybody. With hindsight I can really appreciate the glory of Clive Lloyd's side, and the poor relations the current chaps are...

I am 48 years old, and my earliest memory of a cricket match was at the Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain in 1968 - I am trying to remember if that was the test when Sobers declared and Cowdrey's MCC won the match - I'll have to check on that.

What I think you and like minded people realise is that bowlers like Wayne Daniel induced players to be late witht their shots ans that appears like they got themselves out. That is down to the bowler.

I remember Daniel's well having seen him play, and he was unlucky to have played for the Windies at the time he did.

Also I think it fair comment to say if he was playing today - he would the Worlds best.
On topic with Garner - I would rather have had Garner and Holding in my side, rather than Marshall and Ambrose. just my preference but I used to love wathing those two bowl.

Ok jwrb you are right much as it pains me to say it the oz boys are streets ahead of the rest at the moment. I would have to say however it was not always the case; I have seen oz teams in the past fold like a cheap suit but that was a while ago unfortunately.

My first test live was at Lords v WI in 1980. The mighty viv scored a 100 and we were in such a state Boycott had to bowl. ( he wasn't that bad actually)

Split envy now. I won't be 48 till 2016 but would be great to live in the caribbean.

Not when they were caught on the boundary trying for a six...
