J. Taylor

The future of WI cricket. Already four wickets in the match against Bermuda in Standford 20/20.

Welcome to the forum dreinked.

There certainly is potential there for him to become a very good player with a long career ahead of him.

Do you think he could spear-head an attack that could, dare I say it, be at least half of what the 80's attacks were?

Can he continue to produce good performances or will he go down the route of many Windies pace bowlers in recent times and start brightly then fade?

well he is imroving in every game he plays, he moves the ball offs the pitch and in the air, good control of the new ball both red and white and orange in standford 20/20, good pace as well, high 80's. But his biggest prob can be his fitness, it has troubles him in recent times, but he is one for the future.

ps: do u have a game called ICC Cricket Captain...

Indeed Jerome Taylor is the future of West Indies' cricket. I’ve followed his career right from its beginning. After getting tired of toothless bowling performances of his main men Lara called upon extremely raw Jerome for the home ODI against visiting Lankans. He, being in 18, was impressive in first outing, grabbing 2/39 with Atapattu being his debue wicket. Sadly, he missed next couple of years cause of injury and regaining his fitness. But more importantly he didn’t lost his pace and stunted Indians with his genuine air speed and accuracy. Lately, his successful bursts in Malaysia and in ongoing ICCCT are enough signs of a great bowler in making. Only if he uses his head and procure himself as much as possible from potential injuries. I don’t wish him to be next Bishop, Cuffy or Gibson.
