Well they need some bowlers as the pace department was woefully thin this season.Yet more Kolpak players though,England will suffer in a few years time.

although Greg, the ECB have done a GOOD thing in limiting the overseas players just to 1 next season. I think Collins will do good at Surrey. Looks like he won't get back in the West Indies side ever again, or at least for a while.

Not at all. The overseas players have almost ALL been exemplary signings this year... bringing a LOT to the County Championship and undoubtedly doing more to bring on the youngsters they played with than the army of aged, England qualified journeymen that are the mainstay of the domestic scene.

The answer is requiring a minimum number of youngsters rather than trying to clamp down on the likes of Pedro Collins... who should bring a lot to the domestic scene and whose experience in a professional setup like Surrey might one day prove useful if he ends up working with WI youngsters in a few years time.
