“Money was never the issue.” my sources tell me, referring to the non appointment of Greg Chappell for coach of the WI.

“Yes we made an offer and he countered that but those are the conventional back and forth in any negotiation. The issue with his appointment never centered on money though. We always wanted King and this time we did not want to screw it up so we used the Chappell situation as a diversion knowing that it would get to the press. In the meantime we were finalizing our agreement with King. This time it went smoothly and it was a done before the press could put a spanner in the work like the last time. There are always leaks where these things are concern. If not from within the board itself, when it comes to computer there is a lot that spy software can do.”
