Shivnarine Chanderpaul

i would put Shivnarine Chanderpaul
as another good player/professional along with sarman , bravo , wouldnt you , he and lara were the best players in the VB series , but Chanderpaul was the most consistant of any player in tournament maybe inzaman ul haq could argue with that ,but Shivnarine Chanderpaul should be known by other teams as the second best batter in the team

Definetely bevo. Shiv looked magnificent during the VB series, however if there is one criticism it is his inablility to turn 70's into 100's.

Talking chanderpaul the best

but wouldnt u rather he get 70's consistantly rather than 1 hundred and a couple of 15 under scores , or in his case around 50 odd through vb series , i recon chander paul is the back bone of the west indies team

I agree, people overlook his performances in the VB series and at the Champions trophy, he was indeed the backbone.

Good point, He is Mr. consistent if nothing else, and thats exactly what the Winides are lacking. They can pull off some amazing feats (like that record 4th innings chase against Aus) - but when it comes to it, they lose too many wickets / give away too many runs when it really matters.

Haha, you're exactly right though, they need to stop worring about those ego's.

Yeah - on paper they should be strong enough: Lara, Sarwan, Gayle, Chanderpaul - 4 quality batsmen! Yet the scores are never what they should be...

Therefore they aren't strong enough..becuase to be a strong team you need talent & mental application / discipline...

I'm looking forward to seeing the new coache's results.
