Well said sir.
People need to check his average as captain and then see how his players especially his bowlers rarely back him up.
When WI were on their way to a 4-0 loss in England (which would have occured in the WI too but for you know who), he was so hard pressed by the media as to when he would resign or be sacked.
He was the only person in that side who could handle the media and pressure and just not crack.
In the last Test of that series, he hot 75 not out of about 140 plus and was just looking for someone or two to stay with him to try something.
But for the messing about with the sightscreen when Flintoff got him for 95, he was looking like getting a good score again then.
Frankly at 35, he should be an elder statesman coming in at maybe 5 or 6 to add on to what the others have done. At this time he should not still have to be the rock upon which a solid batting performance is made.
Time for the younger guys to step up and step blaming Lara's presence for everything bad.
In his first stint as cappo (and let us remember this 2nd stint only occured because Hooper deserted the team a 2nd time and Lara was ASKED) he had Walsh and Ambrose.
With even two great bowlers like that on the end of their careers, he led 2-1 with 1 to play against Australia in 1999.
Go and check when WI went to SA last and just how much runs they actually did score. Shame the Saffers absolutely hammered the WI bowling attack.
Some people just like to pick on the easy option.
