And cric info says the ticket sales have been poor b/c of the contract dispute.

Very disapointing news all this, the weather, the shunning of the West Indian team by the crowds, no Shaun Pollock

I'm so not a fan of Mike Haysman. Although there is good news otherwise, Sarwan and Gayle have termintaed their contracts with C&W. And its expected that the remaining players will also do the same very shortly. Thank God, sense has prevailed. Now we can anticipate a good fight from the West Indies once again.

That's rather sad. I'm still living in hope though, I hope they will be back for the next test. West Indies are playing (so far) very well even without them.

The Border test match should be a draw... It is going to rain.
Excellent that Hinds and Chanders are putting that pitch to use. On the other hand only Ryan Hinds and Deonarine are next (as recognised batsmen), that doesn't look good on paper. Nonetheless, it's a flat pitch and maybe Deonarine will produce something half as good as Chanders since he's at home too.

Also, Windies fan are supporting the team, but not happy with the WICB and their management of team and personal contracts. Therefore, to vent our disapproval we may or may not decide to attend matches because in the end we come to see the players not WICB members.

Hi Xiwang,
Welcome to the board, I think the last thing you want is rain with a score of 347-3, another 120 on top of that, and South Africas only option will be a draw.
Good going because South Africa are no mugs, it's gona be a high scoring match, a treat for the fans, I doubt they even thought about the political stuff today, to much good cricket going on.

Cool

Lets Hope that the rain does not spoil the match. The Pitch is very good for batting,so even the saffas will have a good time at the crease(unless the Windies bowl really well)
