Disappointing that the fight hasn't been sorted out, which leaves them minus three key players in Gayle, Lara and Sarwan...In saying that, Reon and Ganga are back and will be sure to stake their claim...However, Windies-Brian Lara= Real Trouble

On paper their chances remain slim to say the least, SA will start as firm favorites, but on home soill West Indies might just spring up a few surprises in at least one of the test matches. I think it's a five test series (corect me if it isn't), SA should be able to take it 4-1 or 4-0.

Windies without Lara = Usually Incompetant

Windies without Lara, Gayle AND Sarwan = Who knows...

South Africa should roll them over on paper, but they will be looking for some inspiried performances from Chanderpaul.

The players picked have the ABILITY to take on SA.

What WI have been lacking, of late, is not players without ability but all the other stuff added on top.

Professionalism, application, intelligence according to the situation.

The one time, apart from Lara, 2 WI players showed that, we won the ICC Trophy.

If the SA underestimate the bowlers, then the likes of Taylor, Powell, Washington and King will run through their line up.

But, yes, SA start as BIG favourites!!

I agree that there is so much untapped potential in the line-up, but unless some serious self-belief kicks in, its hard to imagine them challenging the South Africans.
