Chris Gayle Wanted Lara's Record..>

Chris Gayle has said he wanter brian Lara's record, and who can blame him.
I think it would have been good for cricket if a lesser light had broken Lara's record.
What it must feel like to get into the 300s, then get out, with the knowlage that chance will never come again.
I remember watching Gooch make his 333, it seemed like he was set forever, then out of the blue, he was out, leavong commentators red faced after saying who's record he would break next.

Hard luck Chris Gayle, but well done all the same, what a knock.

He looked real tired when he came off - and got out in a real lame fashion! However, well pleased for him, I like the guy and the way he bats.

I am a big Chris Gayle fan, but that comment disappointed me.

He should be more focused on making a difference in the test rather than Lara's record. Although with that farce of a test match, I can see why the result would matter much.
