Should we actually make and present a trophy of some kind to Keedy?

That's what I planned to do for my county awards. I think it would be a good idea to give out such awards as an item, it generates publicity. Last month in the wisden cricketer a similar award got a mention for the people giving it out, so you could try writing to them to publicise it and get the web address in their magazine? I nominate Ernest to go and give it to Keedy as he lives nearby. Sure you don't want to give an award to a West Indian or Kiwi? I nominate myself to go and give awards to those winners, if WAT pays for the flights!!!

I would think that keedy would be long gone to climates warmer by now .

What do you think of a WAT England A Team batsman of the year?, to go with Keedy, would think Pieterson would be in with a shout, soon sort a poll out.

Questionnaire For Gary Keedy

Following Gary Keedy's victory in the inaugural WAT future test player award, we've finally managed to get contact with the player who is more than happy to provide his honest answers to whatever questions we want to pose him. What I'm wondering is if anyone here has their own questions that they'd like to be put to Gary Keedy. We don't mind if they're blunt or to the point, so whatever you want to ask him, don't hesitate to bring it up!

Q - With the likes of Gareth Batty and Ashley Giles in front of you in the pecking order, do you think your lack of batting ability will hold you back from becoming an international cricketer?

Q - Did playing with Murali help you and if so what advice did he give?

Q - I saw you working on the double bouncer in the warm up for the Twenty20 finals, are you looking to emulate Nathan Dumelow and include this as one of your variations?

Q. Gary, in a poll on the England forum the question was, "Would you watch televised A-Team matches?" 26 of 30 respondents said they would watch matches between 'A' teams and/or matches involving 'A' teams against touring sides. These two or three-day matches would make ideal fillers between home Test matches. If such televised matches were scheduled would you be interested in participating?

Q. Gary, the current set of rules allow varying degrees of flexing for different types of bowlers with fast bowlers, medium pacers and spinners having limits of 10, 7.5 and 5 degrees respectively. The new rule allows all bowlers to flex up to 15 degrees. Whether or not you agree with it will you develop other variations that exploit the new rule?

Q. Have you had an opportunity to train at the National Academy facilities in Loughborough? If so what impressed you most about the facilities?

Q. When you retire as a player what career path are you likely to take - coaching, administration, media or something outside of cricket?

Q. What advice would you give to youngsters to encourage them to take up spin-bowling?

Q. Are there any young spinners around that could be knocking on the door for Test selection in the future?
