Too many allrounders for my liking. Hopes or Thornely out for Chris Rogers.

Who is out for Rogers? I say Hopes but then again he gives more to the bowling than does Thornely.

Beny,
What was the basis for the team? Current form or future test players?

I may be able to answer that LS, being a WAT Aus A selector myself...although Beny can elaborate

It is a mixture of both; these players can't be performing mediocrely on the circuit and get an entry...Most of our players are in good form and possible test players.

Now that the season is over, is everyone happy with the team posted here: http://world-a-team.com/showthread.p...4851#post34851
or do you want to redo the selection process?

The basis for the team is to spot the talent who might one day play for Australia.

The Criteria is:

under 30 years of age
Less than 6 test matches

I think we will keep the team the way it is for the momment and reconvene next season to choose another. LF, you are welcome to make some suggestions and we could consider them...?

Rogers

Played with him in England a few years ago and I can't believe more people aren't pushing him, especially for the longer version of the game. The guy's class and a very experienced domestic player with a very good record, but still only 26. Classy and assured he'll be in the Baggy Green in the next few years believe me.
