WAT Zimbabwe A Team 2005

Yes, go on, have your laughs!!!

But there are alot of talented young guys who need the right people to push them in the right direction...Meeting the criteria of <6 tests and <30 years old, here is a list:

Barney Rogers
Neil Ferreira (provided he wants to return)
Richard Sims (ditto)
Greg Strydom
Keith Dabengwa
CJ Chibbhaba
Donald Samunderu
Sean Ervine (5 tests, where theres a pulse theres a chance...C'mon Sean, come back!!)
Craig Ervine (brother of Sean)
Ed Rainsford (Good pace, aims to be quick, has troubled England on the two occasions his met them)
Tawanda Mupariwa (As with Rainsford)
Tinashe Panyangara
Alester Maregwede
Prosper Utseya
Chris Mpofu
Graeme Cremer
Campbell Macmillan
Terrence Duffin
Gary Brent (29, still on strike but only in there because he is eligible. 4 tests)
Sean Williams
Gavin Ewing
Wisdom Siziba

That's about all I can think of....Anyone interested can post their teams, we pro-Zimbo members are a minority but what we lack in quantity we make up for in quality

Here is my side...

Neil Ferreira
Charles Coventry
Richard Sims
CJ Chibbhaba
Craig Ervine
Sean Ervine (Captain)
Alester Maregwede (wk)
Tinashe Panyangara
Tawanda Mupariwa
Prosper Utseya
Ed Rainsford

Good side if you ask me....At least one for the future

PS I have mentioned some of the players on strike in hope and if this tournament is played in England if it goes ahead, I'd like to think players ineligible for the National team at this point in time would like to play for the WAT A Teams....Provided the tournament is free of board jurisdiction...

I would post a side, but I honestly cannot name eleven players who would fit the criteria.

The 'A' team criteria, less that six tests etc.

To be honest i'm not even all that familiar with the current Zimbabwean squad, let alone prospective players.

I must admit, I'm a bit rusty on the Zim 2nd string, but I'll give it a go, based on those that I have seen or read about only _

Barney Rogers
Neil Ferreira
Richard Sims
Sean Williams
Greg Strydom
Sean Ervine
Ed Rainsford
Tawanda Mupariwa
Prosper Utseya
Graeme Cremer
Gary Brent

I can't be bothered to type all those difficult names, (sorry, but at this time of the day I'm at my laziest!) but I would probably have picked the same side as Teatime, my knowledge of Zimbabwe fringe players is also weak.

Ha ha Zainub, my little BBC mole - that is the benefit of cut 'n paste on the old PC. Saves plenty of time, especially if like me, you do not have opposable thumbs!
