| You're welcome to it. Just seen that Ryan Broad has lifted his season average to 35+ with scores of 75 and 107, solidifying his position in my eyes. None too soon either. As to the question of Siddle and Cameron, I'd be more inclined to include Siddle, as his injury has to be taken into account. But if Cameron wasn't injured, then he in fact has been one of NSW's second change bowlers for the season, so I'd personally be a little reluctant to include him. |

As for the Siddle and Cameron scenario. My personal veiw is that if either or both of them play it takes them to 5 games. They are only getting the opportinity to play because both their teams made the final. If they were in another team that did not make the final, 5 games out of the 10 match schedule would make them eligiable. If both or either play in the final they will have had played 5 games. My personal veiw is if either or both get to 5 games and taking into consideration that their respective teams have both earned their right to get in the final. They deserve to be included in the selection process for the A-Team pending their participation in the final. My main reasoning is that there are going to be other players who played 5 pura cup games this season in teams weaker than Camerons and Siddles that will still be eligiable for selection. I am willing as long as they play the 5th game give them the benefit of doubt and include them. I call for more experienced A-Team selectors Andy, Rach, Quag, etc for your veiws. As far as the two individuals are concerned so far to my knowledge Cameron bowled well in NSW's victory against SA but is not garunteed a spot in the Pura Cup final why I am not to sure but will endevour to find out, first suspicion is that NSW only have to play for a draw and they will load up with B.Lee, S.Clark or N.Bracken of whom one will more than likely be available. As for Siddle please read the following that I grabbed from the Melbourne Sun newspaper. Quote:

Interestingly, I see Ryan Broad plays for Wynnum-Manly in Brisbane. I'm going to be visiting the Wynnum-Manly home ground during the last weekend of March, so I will ask around; see what the locals can tell me about him. By the way, if anyone is around in Brisbane between the 26th and 31st of March, drop me a line and we can meet up for a drink and a yarn. |

| Lightly off topic Wynnam-Manly is on the Sunshine Coast side of town up there, Alexandria Headland and Mooloolaba are nice beach spots to get wrecked and usualy have fairly handy standby rates on high rise accomodation. Over the weekend along with Ryan Broad, Luke Pomersbach and Luke Ronchi were among the runs and as I mentioned Dan Cullen made a welcome return among the wickets, Beau Casson did as well. Also of note Shane Watson go's up for an IPL second round auction today, Pomersbach and Voges have put in expressions of interest with the IPL, White was bought in the first round for USD$500 thousand. |

| Broad had a STORMING game on what looked to be a difficult pitch. No other Queenslander got going, but he score a good 70 and a backs-against-the-wall hundy. Certainly puts him higher up in my estimations. EDIT: And cheers for the tips on the area, Acker. |

| From his first four matches he conceded 591 runs for 9 wickets at an average of 65, so to finish with 27-28 wickets from nine at an average of 45 seems to me to be a pretty good late-season effort. I don't think that's enough to get him into the squad for this season, but despite that I still think he's a very good shot at representing Australia someday. |

I feel sorry for the 4 players who will be making way for the return of the ACB contracted players. White, McKay, McDonald, and Siddle definitely have an excellent opportunity to impress the 2008 A-Team selectors as they will be playing against possibly over half the next Australian test team in a cut throat final situation at the SCG. Likely line ups for the Pura Cup final likely starters I have in blue and eligiable A-Team players in red. Starting 15th March 2008 at the Sydney Cricket Ground Quote:
*note : Crossthwaite has not reached the minimum of games and Siddle and Cameron's inclusion is pending on them playing in this match. Jaques and Clarke have both played over 6 tests each thus ineligiable. |
