| Do we have any other nominations for openers other than Broad and Hughes Bearing in mind that Broads batting average is clearly well below the other batsmen candidates we are looking at including the keepers. |
| |||
| They're the top two qualifying specialist openers aren't they? And I think most selectors indicated they wanted specialists in opening. |

Interesting that Hilfenhaus made it into the squad. Based on recent form, you'd think that Siddle, Magoffin and Bollinger (if fit) should be there ahead of him. Good that the selectors are backing him for the long haul, though. |

| Openers: Broad + Hughes Middle Order: Marsh, Bailey, Pomersbach, Voges/Other Keeper: Ronchi + Hartley Spinners: Casson + White/AN Other Seamers: Bollinger, Magoffin, Siddle, Harris/McDonald So is this where we are now? All decided other than Harris vs McDonald, White vs a proper spinner and Voges vs Some other Middle Order candidate?? |

| I vote for McDonald ahead of Harris, White as the second spinner and Voges as the fourth batsman. |

| I'll be boring and agree |

| Openers: Broad + Hughes Middle Order: Marsh, Bailey, Pomersbach, Voges Keeper: Ronchi + Hartley Spinners: Casson + White Seamers: Bollinger, Magoffin, Siddle, McDonald I agree too... So, does this mean we're going with the above squad? That'd leave the First XI as: Broad Hughes Marsh Bailey Pomersbach Ronchi McDonald/White Casson Magoffin Siddle Bollinger Maybe Ronchi batting below McDonald/White. |

| I'm happy with that squad/team. Perhaps Ronchi one place down the order though if it matters. |

| Following is my provisional side I have opted not to include Adam Voges as his batting was shaded by the others, including Andrew McDonald. I also disagree with a few here that Chris Hartley is the second choice keeper behind Ronchi, I believe Manou and Wade are ahead of him. Phil Hughes Ryan Broad Shaun Marsh George Bailey Luke Pomersbach Cameron White Luke Ronchi Beau Casson Peter Siddle Steve Magoffin Doug Bollinger (12th Man Andrew McDonald) I think the three pacemen are pretty clear cut.
