Good to see i guess, no harm done. A youngster getting a chance at this level, will be able to see if he handles himself well, what ive seen of him he looks a handy spinner, takes wickets too. Yorks have also brought out Wainwright, a couple of good, very young spinners of what they have shown thus far, wonder how far they will go.

Strauss as skipper, not a certain pick anymore for England, and this will give him some more responsibily to try and lead his team out to a win.

Battling line up looks solid, not happy that Trott was dropped for the 1 day series after 2 bad 20-20 games?! Crazy. Bopara/Shah trying to settle into the national team at the moment, whilst Denly gets a chance to show his talents.

WK - Ambose is a good choice, i like him, scores runs and a good WK'er.

As for bowlers, Bresnan gets another game an intl level, hes an ok bowler, but reminds me of Plunkett in a few ways, too inconsistent and needs to improve his bowling before trying to maybe be handy with the bat. Broad can be a top bowler on his day, but can leak runs with a poor line. Tremlett is ok, an average bowler on the highest level i'd say, but good height, and extracts good bounce. Finally, Onions another player emerging out of Durham, good to see he gets a game, improving at county level all the time, hope he performs well.

Good side i think.I possibly would have gone for Hildreth instead of Trott but it is good to see the players in and around the squad this summer being retained for this game.It means the players when they get a chance might be able to relax more knowing they will still be in the managements thoughts even if they fail once or twice.

I'm not usually one for backing the selectors but Trott was selected for the Twenty2o as Bell was injured. Once Bell was fit he was always likely to be brought back. And Trott just happened to be the man to give way. He'll get another chance.

True, but just thought that 3 games here would be the ideal chance, beginning of the summer still, and could gain some good experience. Bell, although i like him has played many ODIs, and still hasnt made a 100 (although same could be said for a few).

Still wont be pleased with the Eng side until i see Tres back in at no.1.
