I remember going to the MCG to watch Australia A Vs Sri Lanka when Sri Lanka were a very good Oneday side at that time. It was a full strength Sri Lankan side against a very young Australia A side. It was an extremely one sided game Sri Lanka batted first and I think got rolled within 20 overs and Australia A making to total within 15 overs and they ended up playing another match due to the game going so shortly. They played a 36 over match with each side getting 18 overs to bat. It was vertually the first International Twenty/20 match but instead it was an eighteen/18 match.

If Sky aren't going to show the India tour i wouldn't mind seeing some of the A tour in West Indies as compensation. That would at least give us something to watch.

A-Team matches would be interesting to watch. However, a potential problem in persuading broadcasters to show the rights is A-team games against touring sides (ie England A v Pakistan) are not yet games in their own right; the focus seems to be on making preparation for the tourists as hard as possible. If this was to be rectified, then I don't see where the problem is; indeed, for matches between A sides no such problem exists.

And as a final thought - what would make better viewing? West Indies v Zimbabwe (shown on Sky) or West Indies A v England A?
