Although he isn't the smartest bloke around, and after cricket there will most likely be little professional future for him, he should be taking a stand with other "senior" black players such as Stewart Matsikenyeri, Vuzimuzi Sibanda and Douggie Hondo. However, even in spite of Mugabe's "I hate whites" approach, blacks still seem to cop more punishment
Interesting....what to u is the right approach..I cant blame him 4 lack of options.

I think he's very gutsy for hanging around and keeping some sort of a team together.

The biggest loss apart from Streak was Sean Ervine in my opinion. He was the makings of a very good allrounder.
Sorry Andy, you're nowhere to be seen

Re: The "Right" Approach

I agree that young Tatenda has had a lack of options and with the current political situation makes it harder for him to get a perfect team. Evidence that he is flourishing as a player came in his first game as captain where he stunned me with a 96 not out.

I have reliable information from a former ZCU insider who told me that Hondo, Nkala and Ebrahim were going to join the white players in their strike but were threatened, along with a Zimbabwean journalist, to lose their jobs and freedom if they took side with "white racists". They couldn't have gone through with it, although it is obvious that these players have an understanding of the situation.

What i meant was that it was not possible for Taibu to not understand the ramifications of Zimbabwe Cricket's racist works, and although it would've been hard for him to strike, he should at least be aware...

I get ur point.OMG!That threatening stuff is new to me.I mean its pretty understandable that the racist angle has got them into a situation which they cant avoid. However i am really puzzled that Vermuelen isnt part of the strike.

Post Vermuelen

I don't know how to quote lol, if one of u could tell me it would be appreciated.

Yeah, I'd say Vermuelen not joining would have something to do with when Bvute offered him double pay to NOT play against Bangladesh in a one dayer so that Matsikenyeri could play. Probably told not to side with Streak and his men...

Also, Grant Flower has officially retired....he was a fine player...

Also, the dude who reckons Siuc (Sean Ervine) was the biggest loss bar Streak was right on the money. Him, Friend, and a matured Blignaut would've held the key for a good future for Zim.

This is how you quote

Just type in a open square bracket than the word "QUOTE" (in all caps) than the name of the person you want to quote than a space than close bracket than the quote it self and than open square bracket, then forward slash than QUOTE (in all caps again) and then close square brackets.

Hope this helped.
