Well, the only way that would happen at the moment would be if someone gave them a huge amount of money (for pitches, coaching etc) and they picked up a load of ex test players with Dutch roots (maybe some Saffers).

Hey here's an idea - what about a Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, ICC XI triangular test tournament, held somewhere like Namibia, Morocco or The Gulf. The first 2 teams are obvious, but the 3rd team would be made up of Kenyans, Canadians, Namibians, Scots, Irish and Dutch. You'd probably get a passable side out if you picked from:

Tikolo - KEN
Shah - KEN
Obuya - KEN

Davison - CAN
Coddrington - CAN

Brown - SCO
Hamilton - SCO
Butt - SCO

Joyce - IRE

De Leede - HOL
Schiferli - HOL
Zuiderant - HOL

Kotze - NAM
Van Schoor - NAM
Murgatroyd - NAM

The Mighty Leverock - BER

I reckon that this lot would give at least Zim a good game, and possibly Bang as well if it wasn't played on too spinny a pitch. Maybe it should be Bang A. The ICC team should be coached by Geoff Marsh, Bobby Simpson, The big Aussie fella up at Worcester, Andy Moles or Steve Waugh.

Good comeback for Hamilton, would you pay money to watch it?.

This is what I mean over Africa, short of cash, Holland would be short of cash as is Zimbabwe, costs money to develop players.

I think your plan on a kind of A Team standard would be good, will never happen, to simple.

I'd probably pay money to see the highlights. There's great potential to see stunning batting from Tikolo and Davison, and a bit of Kenyan legspin mixed with that nutty Dutchman. However, the key point is that the cricket straved communities of Kenya, Holland, Namibia the USA, Bermuda and Canada probably would pay to see it.

I am not a fan of the Pan African team...Is test cricket a game, or representing your country...While Taibu's lot have not done Mugabe's thugs any good (which is good), I don't think we should resort to the pan african team...

I have heard also that MJ Di Venuto would like to play for Italy and join his brother....Italy would then be half decent

Didn't Joe Scuderi (Lancs) play for Italy as well?

Joe Scuderi (more of South Australia fame but did play for Lancs) is Italy's star player.

Steve Waugh? I don't think he will be available. I'd be really surprised after the continued rumours in the Inidan press and suggestions from ex Indian players if Steve Waugh doesn't take over from Wright after the PK series

Steve Waugh's name has been flown around for every job...South Africa, Australia (some looney thinks because Buchanan's contract expires after the Ashes he is going out), England, now India, even Zimbabwe (not that Tugga would waste his time on players who aren't even as talented as himself...)

Why doesn't Steve become the World Supercoach???

Yeah, he's a wanted man now-a-days. I think he's going to go to India. I think its fairly obvious, he's always liked India, and goes there quite often as well (remember all the great charity work he does for underprevillaged childred?) and even cricketing wise Tugga's always had high opinions of India, he coined the face "the final frontier" , and then we can't forget that the financial returns of taking up a job as high profile is this one must be attrative (and presumably hard to resist)

I'm skeptical though personally of how well he might get along with someone like Ganguly,

What about the West Indies then; not exactly a country is it? Its actually quite a few separate countries. Or, to take it the other way, what about England and Scotland having separate teams, whilst still being, in effect, provinces of the same country, the United Kingdom of Great Britan and Northern Ireland.
