Supporting African Cricket Developed countries like South African should support the cricket in Zimbabwe, Kenya, Namibia and other african countries. They should send South Africa A team or B team or C team or any county team to tour these countries. Also, they should invite Zimbabwe XI or A team Kenya XI or A team, Namibia XI team or A team to play in the domestic cricket in South African. These wise good experience and exposure can be given to the developing countries. I think there should be a bilateral agreement between Kenya and Zimbabwe in which the two countries should play once in 2 years in each countries. This will help to give Kenya more matches.

i'm not really sure why you say "should" - what do they (SA) get out of it? certainly...it would be nice - and useful.

| It could, after a bit of input from South africa, offer their players competitive international cricket, whether it be at U-19, A, B or C team level. You could argue England should do the same with Scotland (I suppose we let them in the Sunday League) as well as Ireland, Holland etc.

I agree that England should take care of Scotland, Ireland, and Holland. Also, I think Westindies should support Canada. India, Pakistan, and Srilanka should take care of Bangladesh and UAE. The quality of the cricket should improve. It would only if some of the players give tips to the developing nations.

South Africa should take care of Holland. How about getting Dippenaar, Ackerman and a few others (help me out with a few more Afrikaners here), who are of dutch descent mostly, to go and help them on their way. Especially seeing as these players don't have a massive future with the national team.

i'm guessing paoli your not an afrikaaner

I like the idea which the players who have no future going out and helping other countries rather than waiting their talent. If would be wonderful for some Southafrican players and Zimbabwe players who have no future to go and help countries like Kenya, Holland, Ireland, etc. Also, Westindies players should go and help Canada players. I think ex Zimbabwe players like Andy Flower, Grant Flower, Neil Johnson, etc should spend a 14 to 15 days camp with any of the developing country and should help the youngsters who might play in the World Cup. After all the developing country should grow very fast in talent wise. Some of the current players and some of the players who have left the international cricket, and players who have no future in the international cricket should go and help the developing countries.

If I'm not mistaken the likes of the African Cricket Council and the Asian Cricket Council already have measures in place to help promote developement of cricket in these countries, the do work with the big boys time and again ... an example of this was the recent Afro Asian Cup - part of the money generated from this event went into developement of African cricket. I believe when the tournament is next held, presumably on Asian soil part of the revenue generated will go to developement funds for Asian Cricket. On the front of cricket developement in minnow countries I'm really looking forward to the completion of ICC's Global Cricket Academy in Dubai, as apart of the Dubai Sports City there. That will be one facility these minnow nations will really be able to benefit from, because I believe it will be absolutely top notch - Rod Marsh (I think) was recently appointed director of this academy, and he seemed very positive about what kind of impact it could have.
