Is this the End of Zimbabwe cricket?

According to the BBC all 35 professional cricketers in Zimbabwe have now walked out on all forms of international cricket and will no longer be willing to play under the interim board.
This must surely now be the end of Zimbabwe cricket.

Sure is the end.

Sad really. These players, barring Olonga and Andy Flower, were prepared to play and the future for Zimbabwe looked bright...nay, not bright, but decent enough. A return to the good old days seemed on the cards.

The end is here folks. *Locks self in room and sobs endlessly*

Life goes on though.

I think the end had passed a fair few months ago to be honest, it was just a case of how long rather than if. Very sad time to lose a side.

Tell you the truth haven't heard of many of those blokes...

Whatever the case, I don't want these guys brought to the West Indies.

Taibu has cut off complete links to ZC stating that he will be playing in the English club leagues next season after his time in Bangladesh.

Many more will follow Taibu's example. After all, if you're very good at doing something, why stay in a country where there will probably be barriers stopping you from achieving what you're capable of.

Latest news:

Streak's not giving his company car back until they give him the US $25,000 he's owed from the series. Dion Ebrahim, Craig Wishart and Stuart Carlisle are also refusing to do so. And good on them too.

Zimbabwe Cricket has run its race for now, and unless we have a supremely talented group of young lads emerging- which, I cannot see happening, we'll be in the cellar of international cricket for ever- perhaps out of it altogether is the way to go.

With a racist, Schitzophrenic, psychopath in charge of the country, ruling with the aid of paid thugs, I don't think that the cricket problems are the big issue for Zimbabwe. The way things are going Zimbabweans are going to be lucky just to get enough to eat to avoid starvation. The ones with talent and a degree of intelligence are on the whole bailing out of the country in droves, shame for the decent folks who just havn't got the money and mobility to escape though.

Mr Bush, Mr Blair where are you when the maniac is in charge of a country without vast reserves of oil?

Taibu has apparently signed for Surrey club Pyrford. Whilst this allows the guy to carry on playing, it seems faintly riduculous to me. This is a test quality batsman / keeper, what on eartt is he doing there? Pyrford are only a league or so above my team, so I could well be bowling at him next year - madness! A team in our league last year had two Pakistani one day players in their team, as well as a club overseas player. Nobody else in there XI got a bat or a bowl.

How could Taibu not get picked up by a county, or by Scotland or Ireland?
