| I haven't searched the archives on this one, but haven't we had this suggestion (second string teams) raised before? In fact, I am sure we have - and I think I might even have started one thread with a thought that England should either junk the ICCCT or put up an "A" team for it. I think the consensus was that putting up second stringers shows insufficient respect to the opposition - and I think I agree with that. I would also say it does no favours to developing opposition teams: Bangladesh, for example, clearly benefits from facing the might of a front line Australian XI; Zimbabwe, if they are going to be allowed to play - and, as regular readers will know, I think there are some reasons why they should not be allowed to - deserve the same support.
Either play the game properly with the front liners for the style of game on the card (ODIs and tests might require different teams, for example), or cancel it.
