what was your team's last series result vs. SL (at home for you) in ODI's recently?

i do remember this:
NatWest Series [Sri Lanka in England] - 3rd Match
England v Sri Lanka 2006 season

Played at Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street, on 24 June 2006 (50-over match)

Result Sri Lanka won by 8 wickets (with 46 balls remaining)

Yes but at least we won't do the same against the mighty Bangladesh.

I wouldn't have a complaint if it was a proper side Zimbabwe were putting out as they would be able to compete but this isn't even an A side with all the players that have chosen not to play.

If you can tell me what good this serves cricket seeing a side thrashed EVERY time they play then my opinion may change.

Also when did you last draw a series with a proper nation like England did against Pakistan.

Its a sad sight watching Zimbabwe play, they had some greats player. Zimbabwe showed promise but as everyone knows politics is to blame.

Today's game could be a good one as Bangladesh are improving and West Indies are either very good or pretty ordinary.West Indies are favourites but it wouldn't be a huge shock if Bangladesh win.

The politics aint the only reason altho it is a big one. The mere fact is cricket isn't a viable occupation, and as the white people have a good education they get good jobs. Zimbabwe is a third world country- but has as many Billionaires as Australia! Figure that one out!

at home against a pakistan side feeling the pressure of controversy - a draw (with a mature - at least in a cricketing sense - team confident in their management, paycheck, facilities, experience, training...) !?

kudos mate, you done well

i'm not interested in changing your opinion or in zimbabwe's service to cricket to be frank - you worry about that. i am only interested, when watching zim games, in their future (particularly nationally) - i'm not even interested in the result at this point, i know that before the game starts - just their improvement, if any!

you say EVERY with such a short memory - we just beat BD (the team you say are improving and would not surprise you beating WI)

Butchering Lee you obviously have a problem with me so i shall not bother commenting on Zimbabwe again after this post but it is worth noting that they are the first side out of the ICC Trophy and i await the game between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh with interest.

I am just glad i don't have to watch Zimbabwe playing test cricket as that would prove an even bigger farce than the one day demolitions they are getting.

I wish things hadn't turned out as they have for Zimbabwe as they had a decent side in the days of the Flower's,Streak and Taibu but these days they are virtually playing the B team against full sides which inevitably only has one outcome.

As a point of interest if Zimbabwe had all their players available how many of the current champions trophy squad would be involved?

I rest my case.

you missunderstood me completely - that fact that i don't agree with your problems involving zimbabwe's cricketing prowess is no reflection of you whatsoever...and you do not "have to" watch any games involving zim at all.

difficult to rest a case in an ongoing saga ... so i do hope you're back to comment further, you're certainly welcome even with these:

you may not remember greg but that side including streak, flower and taibu were roundly assessed (by british press) as being zimbabwe "C" team, incapable of beating a county side on thier last visit - they did beat all i think (as star county players are often rested for such games) though were duly whipped by the national side.

would you pay? ... 'cos it would further our cause for extended participation in the top levels
