Time to close this forum??

I see that more often than not I can

1 - see live cricinfo coverage (though scanty commentary) of associate games ie. bermuda v canada
2 - not see any live coverage of zim matches.

fair enough, there is almost no interest in zim cricket and understandably so (i can hardly be bothered anymore) so why bother with the forum. maybe it's time to change it to a 'associate countries' forum with a brief intro. maybe using excerpts from here: http://content-uk.cricinfo.com/zimvb...ry/278609.html as explanation!?

I think it is kept as avenue to bag Magabe when someone feels enclined. Or maybe it is kept out of optimism. Either way, politics rather than cricket, seem to be the only thing discussed on this forum these days.

true seamer (though there has been some attempt to stick to cricket - it just hardly seems worth it now).

here's the reason for the lack of coverage:

""We apologise for the delay in updates from this match. We have been unable to get any accreditation to send journalists to Harare Sports Club and there is no television coverage available outside Zimbabwe. We were expecting coverage inside the country but it has not materialised. We are updating the card as often as possible.""

... and we're back to politics

Zimbabwe are confirmed to participate in the World Cup in March and Afro Asia Cup in June. They are also due to play three ODIs at home against Australia in June but that's still unconfirmed. There are no plans to play Test matches.

Zimbabwe's Test matches were temporarily suspended from 10 June, 2004, to 6 January, 2005, and from 18 January, 2006 to 2007. Source
While Zimbabwe still has Test status this forum will remain.

Once again, Mugabe screws up the country....

Zimbabwe are in the WC group with Windies and Pakistan, who should have no trouble crushing them. It remains to be seen whether Ireland can create a mild upset, and send them home winless!
