Zimbabwe's WC men

that's the title of the following article:

http://content-uk.cricinfo.com/zimba...ry/279788.html

didn't know why rainsford had been omitted recently - seems it's an attitude thing. shame, he could trouble better batsmen! also, for those who still care, a taibu return could do a great deal - i think utseya, though miserly with the ball, doesn't take wkts, doesn't score runs and can't therefore be as effective a captain as he should be. wonder if taibu would be handed the ropes? probably not!

Talking The few sparks left!

I was extraordinarily impressed with the little of the batting that I have seen of one Zimbabwean player of the current hapless crop, Justice Chibabha. And if you put alongside him now decent players like Brendan Taylor, Elton Chigumbura, Prosper Utseya, Edward Rainsford, and Hamilton Masakadza, and bring back the world-class wicketkeeper Taibu, and at least one or two oldies, and maybe Vermeulen, then you could still have a good Zimbabwe team, at least better than Bangladesh or Kenya.
By the way, I remember a player called as Brighton Watambwa making his debut against India some years back, and he looked a very exciting, nippy prospect to me at the time. And then, he vanished? What happened? Is he too, like so many others, now not a part of Zimbabwe cricket.
