| Zimbabwe to wait for test status The International Cricket Council which met in Dubai recently discussed on the fact whether Zimbabwe should be given test status. After the discussion, the panel came to a conclusion that they would be given test status "only is they proved their good quality." To me,that looks like a good decision since Zimbabwe haven't looked good for the past few months after they decided that they should stop playing test matches.

| I've read that Zim are due 11 million and a half US dollars from the world cup. http://content-uk.cricinfo.com/zimba...ry/296529.html last paragraph Zimbabwe fans wouldn't be keen to see them lose ODI status (although they may admit they deserve it!) The money won't go to cricket, but to fund Mugabawe's regime. ZCU will get 1 million I suppose if they are lucky.

| Then aren't that bad a team to lose ODI status.12 teams have ODI status now and Zimbabwe are capable of beating sides which don't have ODI status.

| Yes, but at the moment Zimbabwe don't have the ability to beat any side with ODI status, Ireland included. If they don't have that ability then I see no reason why that status should be retained.
